As my love for all things make up and beauty grew over the years, I’ve become rather fond of high-end purchases, who doesn’t love a bit of luxury right?! However, I’m still a girl that loves to grab herself a bargain, and recently had a little spree in Poundland. If you are interested in seeing what I picked up, then please keep reading!
Jess Wright Beauty False Eyelashes in Vibey – I have recently started to dabble in false lashes, having been too lazy previously. The great thing about false lashes is that you don’t have to blow the bank to get some good ones. I’d heard positive reviews about the Jess Wright range so decided to give them a try. Vibey are pretty subtle, so seemed like a good pair to start with.
Ferne McCann Brooklyn Glam False Eyelashes in Glamourous – I haven’t actually heard anything about Ferne’s range, but figured they would be similar to Jess’s, so decided to try a pair of these as well. This pair is quite a different style to the ones by Jess and I’m excited to try them.
Sugu Beauty Moisturising Sheet Mask with avocado – When it comes to sheet masks, I am like a moth to a flame – I just can’t resist them! Sheet masks are another thing that I have found that doesn’t need to have a high price tag to do an effective job. The packaging doesn’t give much away as to what it promises to do, but looking at the ingredients there are things such as glycerine and camomile extract, so I’m hoping it will be soothing and hydrating. It was also made in Korea, who are known for their amazing skincare.
Mooi Skincare Co Exfoliating Foot Peel Treatment – My friend who I was out shopping with recommended this product to me. I’ve seen a lot about these type of foot treatments where dead skin starts to peel off a week after use and always thought they sounded pretty grim to be honest. However, she convinced me that they were worth it, and who could argue with giving it a go when it only cost £1?!
Jess Wright Beauty Gradual Tan in Medium – This will probably come as a surprise, but despite my love for all things make up and beauty, I’ve never actually tried fake tan! I once used Johnson Holiday Skin, which was a bit of a disaster, but that’s it. I’ve decided that I want to give it a go, and this time of year seems ideal as I can cover my legs if it goes wrong. And that’s if we’re actually allowed to leave the house…! I thought I would start with something nice and cheap and take it from there.
Jess Wright Beauty Reusable Self-Tanning Mit – This one is pretty self-explanatory, if I’m going to attempt fake tanning I may as well get the correct tools.
#6 Limited Edition Shimmer Body Lotion – I thought this would be good to try on my legs as an alternative to fake tan. Lot’s of makeup brands are bringing out shimmer products, but they often come with a hefty price tag. It will be interesting to see how this turns out!
Make Up Gallery Pout Matters Lip Colour in Vintage Pink – Make Up Gallery is Poundlands make up brand, and I’ve found their products to be very hit and miss. Judging by the tube this would be my ideal shade as I tend to gravitate towards mauve-pinks, I’m interested to see how the formula wears too.
So those are all the products I purchased on my last trip to Poundland, along with various packets of sweets because in all honesty, I just can’t resist! I plan to try out each of these products over the next month or so, then I will do a haul revisited post where I will tell you what I think of everything.
