Hi everyone! Today’s post is all about a fantastic event I’ve been to recently. I hadn’t been to any blog events in a while due to being so busy and not producing much content. So as you can imagine, I was really pleased to find myself at the latest event hosted by the South East Bloggers. The event was held at Jump Street in Chelmsford which is literally five minutes walk from my house.
So what is Jump Street? Well, as well as being a trampoline park, it is also home to Essex’s first Clip n Climb, and a brand new Children’s soft play area, Kendrick’s Kingdom. Within the trampoline park, as well as all the trampolines in the open jump area, you can also play Dodgeball, Slamdunk, have a go on the toxic wipeout and much more.
The clip n climb consists of 32 individually themed climbing challenges, including three extreme challenges, which you can see below.
We were lucky enough to have the opportunity to experience the activities on offer for ourselves. Along with some existing and new blogging buddies, we had a great time attempting a bit of dodgeball, jumping in to a big inflatable bag, and having a go on the toxic wipeout. I say having a go as I was terrible!
Jump Street is a fantastic place for people of all ages to leave the stresses of everyday life at the door, and just have some good old fashioned fun. They have a number of different packages available, so you only pay for what you want to do. They also host special events, parties and exercise classes. I would really recommend that you check out their website for more information.
As well as getting to know the venue itself, we also had the opportunity to meet and speak to some other brands at the event. Chelsea Candle caught my eye straight away, what with my current obsession with home fragrances. I had a great chat about the companies origins, and will be placing an order very soon.
Orthosole was another company I had not heard of before, but I couldn’t have met them at a better time! They sell insoles and other accessories to combat various muscular skeletal problems, including back pain, which I suffer from. I was very grateful to receive some insoles to try. I am currently using them whilst exercising now and will soon have a full review for you as soon as I have given them a good try.
I then went on to speak to Victoria from Farleigh’s Hospice. She was there to tell us more about the charity and it’s upcoming fundraising events. Farleigh’s is a place very close to my heart as my mum came under the care of their team before she passed away, and thanks to their support we were able to keep her out of hospital on multiple occasions.
Finally, I went to see Marnie, who was there representing the brand Happy Fabric, who are suppliers of all the tools and fabrics you could possibly need to get your creative juices flowing. You can make your own purses, cushions and pretty much anything else you fancy. We were able to make our own purses, which was so much fun.
I really want to go in to more depth with each of the brands I met, so watch this space for more individual posts coming soon. Overall I had a great time and would like to say a huge thank you to the lovely ladies that run South East Bloggers for organizing the event.
