Recent beauty favourites – May 2018

Hi everyone!

I have just got back from a wonderful holiday in Ibiza and am suffering from some major post holiday blues, but what better way to combat them that to catch up on some blogging! Today is all about some beauty products I’ve been loving lately, so without further ado, let’s get started.

I Heart Revolution Goddess of Love Triple Baked Highlighter – £4.99 (Superdrug)The Revolution brand in general is well known for it’s dupes of high end products, and this highlighter is no different as Too Faced have similar on offer. The pigmentation on this is amazing and a little goes a long way. It’s also great as an highlight on the inner corner of the eyelid to really finish a look off.

True Colour Cream to Powder Foundation Compact – £12.00 (Avon)This is another great dupe for a high end product, with the Avon cream to powder foundation being around half the price of the offering from Clinique (and that isn’t even taking in to account the fact that there is always some sort of offer on). This is one of the absolute staples in my make up routine, and was the only base product I used on holiday. It’s perfect for when you are in a rush and can be built up when you don’t have concealer to hand.

Mitchum Ultimate Gel Deodorant – £4.99 (Boots)I don’t think I’ve ever included a deodorant in my favourites before, even before I relaunched, but I couldn’t not mention this one by Mitchum. The gel like formula absorbs in to the skin really easily so you aren’t left with any excess product to ruin your clothes. I need something heavy duty for long days at work, as lets be real, the summer can get pretty sweaty! This not only keeps me dry as a bone but there is no fear of bad odor rearing it’s ugly head either.

Michael Kors Rose Golf EDP – £22.99 (The Perfume Shop) – I received this perfume as a Christmas gift and had not seen or heard of it before. It was a good shout from my brother though as I’m absolutely obsessed! The top notes are mostly floral based keeping it nice and feminine, but with vanilla as one of the base notes it still has the sweet scent I always gravitate towards. I tend to use this perfume mostly in the evenings or if I’m going out. Oh and can we please take a moment to appreciate how aesthetically pleasing the bottle is!

Real Techniques Stippling Brush – £8.71 (Amazon)I am a huge fan of Real Techniques brushes, and have had this one for quite some time. However, the reason why I am currently loving it even more so that usual is how well it works with the Avon compact I mentioned above. Once I have applied the foundation with a sponge I then buff it in with this to make the overall look more seamless. Little tip, unless there is a special offer on elsewhere, Amazon is always much cheaper to stock up on Real Techniques products.

Dr Paw Paw Tinted Ultimate Red Balm – £6.45 (Amazon)* – Lately I have been reaching for the red tinted Dr Paw Paw balm as a quick way of adding some colour to my lips whilst protecting them from the elements (constant changes in the weather make them pretty damn gross). The beauty of this is that I can get the tint without enhancing the problem areas, whilst treating them as well. It also works great as a cheek tint!

I would love to know what you have been lovely lately, as I am always looking for inspiration on what to try next, so leave me your recommendations in the comments below.
