I told you I’d be back didn’t I?! Today I thought I would get started in sharing my current empties with you as I have a bit of a back log, and I will post part two next week.
Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara in Black – This is my favourite drug store/high street mascara. Whenever I have friends or family going to America, or I get a care package from my friend in Canada, my stash of these grows. I love the way it separates my lashes and makes them feel fuller.
Burts Bees lip balm in blueberry and dark chocolate – Whatever flavour you try, Burts Bees lip balms are awesome. I would definitely recommend you give them a try. This one was yummy (though obvs don’t eat it!) and I now have about four more to try!
Astor Lip Stain – I got this in a pack of two from poundland, so was really the last of the big spenders! I liked using it as a base before I apply my lip products as I feel like I have really pale lips (Is that even a thing?!). I’m not fussed by what brand I use, as long as it does what I want it to.
Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker – Problem with this product is that it can look really rank in the tube! I did love it though, so it’s unfortunate that I can’t get a replacement now.
TRESemme Keratin Smooth 7 Day Shampoo and Conditioner mini’s – I grabbed these mini’s in Superdrug when I was in a hurry and needed some for a weekend away without giving much thought in to what I was choosing. However, I was so impressed with how my hair was after just one wash, silky smooth and healthy looking, that I ended up buying the full size. Would definitely recommend to people like myself who have lots of thick, hard to manage hair.
KMS California Tame Frizz conditioner – I tried lots of different products from this line and have had pretty good outcomes overall. The conditioner isn’t bad, but I wouldn’t say it was my favourite when it comes to high end hair care. I have the larger size of this too, which I am now working my way through, but probably won’t repurchase after.
TRESemme Perfectly (un)done Shampoo – Another TRESemme product, but one I bought in error. I had been looking for a cleansing shampoo and picked this one up by accident. The idea of this is actually to give body and texture, which I didn’t really notice one way or the other, but it certainly cleaned my hair and was nice enough to use.
Batiste Dry Shampoo Pixie Lott edition – Batiste is a fantastic product, plain and simple. I don’t know what I’d do without it on cold dark winter mornings when I’ve spent slightly longer in bed than I should have. I tend to try all the different fragrances and am not loyal to a particular one, and will continue to buy this.
Nutrisse Ultra Color in Iced Coffee – I went through a phase where I was using home dye kits and this was my one of choice. I plan on doing a longer post on this as I don’t think it’s as simple as saying I did or didn’t like it, as my preference will always be going to an actual salon. It was the one I kept using though and I liked the intensive conditioning treatment that came with it.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water – This is hands down, my favourite micellar water, and boy have I tried a fair few! This is just the mini travel size, and I am using a full size one of it at the moment. It always completely cleans my face, and doesn’t sting my eyes when I remove eye makeup.
Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer – This has been one of my favourite products to use for a long time. It’s the ideal lazy girl cream, for days when I don’t really have time for a proper skin care and make up routine. One thing I will say though is that they have now changed the packaging to a plastic pot, which doesn’t seem as luxurious.
Nivea Sun Protect and Refresh Sun Cream – I am so fussy when it comes to sun cream. I need a high factor, but anything that is too thick makes my skin get clogged up and gross. I also get really lazy if the application isn’t easy and end up skipping applications. This ticked both boxes for me and can always been found on offer around the summer time, I will definitely be stocking up again soon.
Britney Spears Believe Perfume – I am forever obsessed with Britney perfumes, even though I should probably have grown out of them by now. This had a delicate floral scent, but unfortunately didn’t last as long as I’d like. You can usually pick it up for pretty cheap online though, so it’s ideal for just popping in your handbag.
Simple Micellar Cleansing Wipes – I gave up trying to avoid makeup wipes a long time ago, sometimes you just need them on hand when you just want to fall in to bed but are wearing a full face. These ones are great, but I can’t really justify buying them unless they are on offer as they are priced around the £4.00 mark.
So that’s it for all the empties in this post. Have you used any of the products I’ve mentioned? What did you think? Do you have any suggestions for alternatives to the things that I didn’t really get on with?
